About Lunar Cities

The settlement-layer subsidiary of StellarWorld Development

Our Vision

Lunar Cities is building permanent habitable infrastructure on and beneath the lunar surface. We are not planning a single outpost or a series of short-duration missions. We are building a city — a permanent, multi-generational human settlement on the Moon.

Our approach begins with surface base infrastructure in the 2030s, expands into subsurface lava tube districts in the 2040s, and scales to a large settlement supporting thousands of permanent residents by the 2050s.

The settlement is designed to be economically self-sustaining — not dependent on indefinite subsidy from Earth. This means developing the full infrastructure stack: power, manufacturing, transport, communications, and compute, each designed to work together as an integrated system.

The destination is what makes the entire cislunar value chain coherent.

Part of the StellarWorld Family

Lunar Cities is a subsidiary of StellarWorld Development, Inc., a lunar infrastructure holding company building the commercial backbone of the lunar economy.

Within the StellarWorld structure, Lunar Cities provides the destination-level vision and demand signal, while our sister company TransPlanetary Services secures and distributes access to the infrastructure capacity required to build and sustain the settlement.

Together, these subsidiaries create a flywheel: Lunar Cities generates demand for infrastructure, TransPlanetary Services structures the supply, and the entire StellarWorld platform captures value as the lunar economy matures.

Principles

Program Principles

Infrastructure First

Settlement is not a flag-planting exercise. It requires the full industrial stack — power, transport, communications, compute, and manufacturing — deployed and maintained at scale. We build infrastructure before we build narratives.

Standardization Over Bespoke

Repeatable, modular, interchangeable systems drive down cost, accelerate deployment, and enable scale. We design for mass production, not one-off missions.

Underground Advantage

Lunar lava tubes offer natural radiation shielding, thermal stability, and enormous volume at a fraction of the cost of surface construction. Our architecture prioritizes subsurface development.

International By Design

Permanent settlement must be multinational. Built within the Artemis Accords framework, Lunar Cities is designed for sovereign participation from day one — not as an afterthought.

Economic Coherence

Every infrastructure investment must contribute to a functioning economy. We design for economic self-sufficiency, not indefinite subsidy from Earth.

Long-Duration Commitment

Settlement is measured in decades, not mission cycles. Our planning horizon, commercial structures, and partnerships are designed for multi-generational permanence.
